When Time Disappears
Noticing what happens when you stumble into the thing you’re meant to do.
There’s something about fire — the way it pulls you in without asking for permission-photo by Bonnie S. Heisse.
I was working on an assignment for a class I had taken — the final project for AIO (artificial intelligence optimization). I planned to spend about an hour and a half on it. Time flew by. All I wanted to do was go to the next step and keep going.
When I finally came up for air because I really had to go to the bathroom, the amount of light outside floored me. I had completely lost track of time.
I had initially taken the class so I could add another service to my solo business. Little did I know how I was going to get drawn in — like watching a fire burn. Something about it just held my attention and wouldn’t let go.
Have you ever found something that captures your mind and attention so completely that everything else slips away? That’s what this new skill did to me.
It’s right up my alley — detailed, focused tasks—a perfect fit for my type of personality and skill set. Don’t get me wrong, I love to write and will continue to do so. I just found something that balances my creative side and my analytic mind—a complete package.
