Consistent
Choosing steadiness in a season that keeps shifting

I’ve picked my word for the year: consistent.
This wasn’t random. I thought about it for a while and asked myself one simple question:
What are the areas of my life where consistency would matter most?
Physically — staying active.
Spiritually — spending time in God’s Word.
Emotionally — staying grounded and even-keeled.
Mentally — continuing to stretch my capabilities.
In a world that keeps shifting, especially with everything going on with my dad, I need something that helps me stay focused. Something that gives me a path forward when surprises and interruptions show up uninvited.
So I’m starting small.
Building slowly.
Giving myself grace when life happens.
But I’m also going in with a plan.
Simple steps. Taken daily.
Because without a plan, it’s easy to get derailed by the bumps that show up every single day.
Here’s why consistency matters to me.
A plan gives me direction and something I can act on each day.
Even when things blur.
Even when the day goes sideways.
Consistency doesn’t have to look the same for everyone.
It just has to be something you can return to.
When you do that one small thing each day, you still get a win.
And sometimes, that’s precisely what keeps you moving forward.
